Little stars in the world...

I happened to watch "Taare Zameen Par" this friday. Though I normally watch such-hyped movies on the day of release, I deferred it as I read in reviews that it is one of those "senti-types"(And I don't like to pay to get senti!). But now I gotta confess that the movie was a fine one, in the likes of "Anjali", "Kannathil muthamittaal" and other exquisite movies directed by professionals like Mani Ratnam. And as a debutant director, Aamir Khan has done a pretty decent job. It was a neat subject, delineated with finesse. I know it is too late to write a review, but I'm sure this movie belongs to the cadre of movies which has no-heroine, no-love, no-nonsense, no-dream songs and only sensible sequences. It is a must-watch for parents and for those others, who need a smile on their face and as well, a lump in their throat for full of the second half of the movie!

[Update : "Tujhe Sab hain pathaa hain na Maa...." is the song that plays in my ipod in repeat. - that song wriggles my heart!]

Poor you...I guess places like Frankfurt might hv theatres....but only if u r close to it...

Another alternative:

Embrace piracy. Invite movies to u'r home...

(And get caught finally).

Awesome movie, even i got to watch it a little late.(@Arun: i watched this in the theater bud).

And the moment the movie got over i decided i had to write lots about it, i had so much to say then. But later when i sat down to write i felt i would not be able to do justice to this movie with my writing, so the post is still a draft.

Now coming to think about it, instead of trying to review the movie and getting choked, i should've jotted down something like this.

@Arun: Why do you seem to be so piracy phobic ? ( No offence ). But, you seem to be a little too against piracy, much more than the average Indian net user. Any particular reason for this ?

@Ela: This is one movie you should really watch, pirated or otherwise. One of the rare Hindi movies with substance.

Every city has theatres but not even they show hollywood movies in english..... but there are few in cities like Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt that show hindi, tamil movies sometimes.....but i cannot travel everytime there to watch movies.... so i have not only embraced but married and deeply in love with piracy...heeheeheee

Guru, i will try.....i don't get much time to cruise thru the net to find sites.....i usually do that during x'mas time when the dept. is empty and i did watch hell lot tamil movies this year during the holidays.... only people like me can justify piracy.....thavicha vaiku uyir poora nerathila thanni ketacha maathiri...

Ela,
Being depraved of Indian cinema is equivalent to striving for drinking water, eh??

Noooo.....being deprived of listening to someone talking tamil....the familiar nakkal, kindal and all in the whole somehow the feeling of belonging to something, that i do have a life or rather had one in which i was much more happy......ok it get's too sentimental hahhhh
