Me, my smile and girls...

Now that my previous post was on Christmas and my wedding, Venky asked me if my next post would be on New year and my divorce! Ohh, Divorce has become a sequence to marriage, just like New year to christmas. That appears funny to me, but what is bothering me right now is the following:

I have always wanted to ask, why don't these "chennai-girls-at-a-foreign-country" remove the crowns off their head? Maybe they have an orotund feeling that they are a couple of notches more beautiful than Aishwarya Rai... Or maybe they think they have some sort of a 'halo' around their head...And that too, when you happen to pass by them and God forbid, you offer a smile as a courtesy, they don't return your smile and instead give that "Don't look at me!" kind of a weird look.

Though they clothe jean or formal-suits or any of those "I-think-I'll-look-good-on-this" attires that they haven't even thought of at home, they forget to realise they are still the same "Churidhar_wearing_vethu_figure" inside.

I can only pity them!

if Chennai girls are "vethu" - imagine the hybrid varities from areas like ambasamudram, kaveripatti etc in bangalore :)

wat kind of a jobless guy actually wastes time thinking/writing a blog about the crowns that girls wear.. and at the end of the day to call them vethu.. it is a shame!! that you go about judging random (chennai?)girls on the street because your freaking ego was hurt since she did'nt return your smile.. well...if you dont find your lost magnanimity pretty soon, you are a pathetic loser who hates anything that does'nt feel good on his miserable ego..oh!! i dont even want to get started about the "nice" comments the other losers have left on ur blog!!

Manasi,

whoa whoa!! cool it...

And dont take it too seriously. I have had such experiences for real and posted it (I was really furious that day, when I wrote this).

And I don't walk in the streets smiling at girls. You must be knowing by now in US(or for that matter anywhere outside India), people smile at strangers too, when you have eye-eye contact. And thats what I did the other day and quite a few Chennai(not random) girls turn their head away, as if somebody is trying to take their chastity, just by looking at them.

Its kinda embarassing, when u experience something like that.

I agree I shouldn't have generalised. But I have experienced/seen people experiencing it quite a lot of times.

Neways, I wouldn't give a damn if I'm called a pathetic loser by an over-enthusiastic commentator :)
